Moon Dream

It's the Full Phase of the Death and Rebirth moon cycle and I am recalling a favorite poetic touchstone that goes like this "Can you imagine what it means to have no cares, no worries, no anxieties, but merely to be perfectly calm and perfectly quiet all the time? This is what time is for; to learn just this and nothing more, perfect calm, perfect quiet all the time."

I know that this is far beyond the seeming possibility of living on the earth plane and perhaps it does harken up images of being on the other side or in another realm yet I just so enjoy entertaining the idea and I so appreciate when the very thought filters up to the surface of a very busy day...like today.
Ahhhhhhhhh. "Can you imagine what it means to have no cares, no worries, no anxieties? What a concept, huh?

  1. I am impressed by what you are, what you do and what it seems to me you expect/get out of life. Life and making the best of it is very complicated as I see it.
I would not imagine complete calm and stillness, that seems like death - it is scarry.

  3. look at this... two 'cats' leaving comments. what a delight. Thanks both. and funny isn't it that cats are the very models of
    r e l a x e d and unworried.

I'm just fascinated with the concept which I have clearly not attained. though I'm very grateful that often this thought (can you imagine what it means...) does rise up outa the murk to smile at me like a Cheshire.
    Metta to you.

  4. checkin in on you, your blog, your goings on...the media blend class is one that i would take! i've taught collage workshops, and if you don't mind, i would love to tap into your concept supporting the class (someday, in a future workshop)--what you taught and built upon seems personal to each student--delving into self.
by the way the guadaloupe piece is lovely. my friend who went west treasures our lady of guadaloupe-we've given each other little our lady treasures over the years.
    take care!! m.a.

  7. hi there, just wanted to pop in and thank you for visiting my blog and for the kind comment you left for me. I am so glad to now be able to read your blog.

What you wrote above speaks to me. We may not want a life that is perfectly still and calm, but I would like to be able to tap into that stillness and calmness when faced with uncertainty and anxieties. That is something to aim for!

    Thanks again
