Ruby Slippers of Wren House...
Our rescue Airedale is my companion in the studio...and in the garden...she turns ten today...a big clown and a great character. Thank you for all these years of being my studio mate and for understanding how important it is to look but never touch art supplies and works in progress...such a smart girl.

Oh sweet Ruby girl - Happy birthday :) xoxox
ReplyDeleteshe's morphed slowly into a great big Teddy Bear with a heart of gold...The Big Rubinski.
ReplyDelete:-)
Aren't dogs wonderful? My Chaz turns 10 in August. I want to find a Fountain of Youth for him so he's around another 10. I love him so much.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your previous post, I used to help my mom hang clothes on the line when I was a child. You're right: Air-infused linens are much better than those scented with dryer sheets!
As we know dog is GOD spelled backward..and there is something so stunning about their ability to love in such a 'all one' sorta way...I so admire that.
ReplyDeleteI 'met Chaz' when you wrote an article in the Virginian Pilot about his squirrel carrying walk...I loved that story!
How awesome. I enjoy having my canine companions as my art buddies too. Happy Birthday, a bit late...sending hugs to you and her.
ReplyDeleteGive Ruby a belated birthday hug from me! And scratch her where she most loves to be scratched!! Ahhh, dogs.
ReplyDeleteRuby sends a birthday hug to all....she so loves the attention...and she raises her big ol' rubber nose into the air thinking of all the other studio dogs enjoying their days with the Muses...great life!
ReplyDeleteI know, I know we're almost a week late which is "like for-eVver" in dog time. Happy yap yip and Howly birthday Ruby from the northern Ruby Darlin' and the whole Being There crew.
